Bespoke furniture
NODA designs bespoke furniture projects in the Poitiers region, throughout France and abroad. At the crossroads of architecture and interior design, this service allows us to create unique pieces, adapted to a specific place, use and identity.
As designer, our field of action in bespoke furniture design is wide-ranging. It can extend from traditional furniture — such as a bookcase, entrance unit, sideboard, desk or table — to the creation of complete kitchens. We have also developed furniture projects designed for pets.
NODA can also support you in the design of furniture for a commercial fit-out, a restaurant, an office or a specific piece created as part of an architectural project. Each element is conceived as a natural continuation of the space in which it belongs.
An approach rooted in industrial design
Thanks to the industrial design background of one of its founding partners, NODA develops a furniture design approach that pays close attention to use, ergonomics, proportions, assemblies, fabrication and technical details. Furniture is therefore considered beyond its appearance, as a functional, durable object that remains coherent with the space in which it is integrated.
Materials, fabrication and details
Bespoke furniture requires particular attention to materials and the way they are implemented. NODA designs pieces that can combine wood, metal, panels, painted finishes, mineral surfaces or other materials according to the needs of the project.
Wood brings warmth, texture and presence. Metal allows us to work with finesse, structure, resistance and more technical details. Their combination can create pieces that are sober, robust and contemporary.
Furniture designed with the space
For NODA, a bespoke piece of furniture is never an isolated object. It contributes to the organisation of space, circulation, everyday uses and the atmosphere of the place. Whether for a private interior, a restaurant, an office or a commercial space, furniture becomes an architectural element in its own right.
